The new Harvest Festival presented by the Downtown Business Association – Heart of Huntington took place in the downtown area this past Saturday, October 2. The festival included live music from singer Gabe Walsh, Nashville, Tennessee. Also included in the festival were several food trucks, games, a Pet Parade Costume Contest, Scarecrow Decorating Contest, face painting, shopping, local vendors and more!

According to several of the local business owners and vendors, the first-time festival was a success and everyone asked that the festival be brought back to downtown next year.

The grand prize for the event was $250 in Chamber Bucks given by the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce. Chamber Bucks are written in several denominations and are considered the same as cash, but can only be redeemed with Huntington County Chamber of Commerce members. The winner of the $250 grand prize was Elizabeth Teeple.
